Project Overview

Cosmolink connects cosmetologists, salon owners, and nail technicians. It features robust job search, listing workflows, networking feeds, role-based dashboards, and a fully functional admin panel. Built with a Next.js frontend and NestJS backend on MongoDB, integrating Stripe, Twilio, Resend, and Cloudinary.

Challenge & Problem

Beauty industry professionals (cosmetologists, salon owners, nail technicians) lack a dedicated platform to network, find work, and grow their business.

My Role & Deliverables

Contributor — backend systems, admin panel, and frontend showcase for the mobile app (mobile app itself built by a separate team).

System Architecture & Technologies

Next.js frontend with Redux Toolkit, shadcn/ui, and charting components; NestJS backend with MongoDB. Stripe handles premium feature purchases. Twilio powers OTP verification, Resend handles transactional email/messaging, Cloudinary manages image uploads. CI/CD is set up through GitHub connected directly to Vercel (frontend) and Railway (backend), with custom domains configured on both. The platform lets beauticians and businesses connect, post jobs, list products, and host events, with admin oversight across the board.
